Dear mother,

No time for a real letter! But I have just got your two letters - I think that Ms. Beatty thinks I went to another party instead of hers - which isn't true- But she will get over that. Existence sometimes is very much too swift.

About the stockings - I enclose a top - they came from Stattery's - not Filenes - please get exactly the same if you can. I begin to need them badly. I cannot go but without achieving holes. Also please send me some money - by Saturday I will have run two weeks on $25 - + then I'll be broke. I bought you a feather vase - it is half tied up - when I get some more string I'll send it along - it looks beeootifull [beautiful]. By all means let us try Antionette? - Angie - only don't let's call her Angie - but Tony. Angie we have had - in white cotton stockings high black boots & very low gear! Do you remember her 10 o'clock dinners?
