didn't sing - though I know he can. It was Aggie and Oliver Lay who were the blank notes-  The beer made them sleepy - and Oliver is non cooperative anyway - Aggie not usually so.  Edith Sedgewick came - & was charming - & sang - or if she didn't enjoyed milling around the piano - (said how sorry she was not to have seen Dad when he was here, hopes to see him if he comes down again this spring.) So the singers were confined to Eleanor T - Edith Seymour Tom & Oliver - and I sang too - though I kept reverting to the group who were going to sleep - we had to stop singing to revive them - & every one went home fairly early 10:30 - T. and I were a little discouraged - felt that the party hadn't banged off as gayly at the end as at the beginning - but I feel better about it today - For I know that the three hosts were wideawake & gay - & the efforts from our from our part were proper - If we were tired (& everyone was & is) the beer was so good - They all relaxed. - & I feel sure they enjoyed it.
