Dear Mrs Williams

Jan will be disappointed when I tell you I never went to Dinan after all. I was so busy at St Malo and when the time arrived late in September I concluded to go up I found the boats had stoped for the Season. So that Settled it. during July and August the Season was very brilliant during September it did not interest me quite so well so I bid good bye to St Malo with it high tides and it ramperts [[ramparts]] and fled to Paris. I have been unfortunate in regard to the weather for I had a rainy season all the month of June until I left in July and I have been greeted by the rain since I have been here. but I have been extreemly fortunate in regard to the Exhibition not only in the Spring with the Solons but Chardins Frangonard [[Fragonard]] etc and the delightfull fall exhibitions which last during the month of October they have all Paul [[strikethrough]] Cezainnes [[/strikethrough]] Cezannes Berthe Morisot and Ena Ganzele's Cezannes gets the Most Wonderful color
