56 Mt Vernon Street
Dear Mrs. Williams,
I made a blunder all around yesterday morning.

I forgot I had to meet a man on business at 10 -- and since you were not at home I did not stay any time but I ran up stairs and had a look at the Studio.

I was delighted it is the finest Studio I have seen for a long while.

The views from the windows both front and back are so interesting especially on the Square

I did not imagine there was a Studio like it in Boston.

I was struck with the study I made of you it is surprising it is a great pity the head has not the quality as the rest of it.

I brought the two or three figure pieces I had in mind at that time

it was a great pity Charlie was taken sick at then [[strikethrough]] time [[/strikethrough]]

the same thing or similar happened this summer I started to painted in childrens heads

two hours sketches every morning with an artist friend was getting along fine when I strained my eyes. had to give up painting for the rest
