Clem dear -
Took a long look at all the Turners.
They look good generally but I still think overrated in terms of "light" and how "abstract" he is. Where he often goes off, is in scale. Pix are too big. Many should've been cropped. But he can paint & looks best when nervy & let's [[lets]] the ugly stroke lie there. Wish you were here! Saw Leslie for a nice lunch. Seeing John Hogland's [[Hoagland]] new pix & dinner later.
How are you? I bought a place in Conn. on the water, (as you know?) Anyway, come see & enjoy. I'll be home a week from today via Zurich. Hope you're well & having a good summer. love x Helen.
