EXHIBITION AT WHITNEY MUSEUM ART RESOURCES CENTER NYC JUNE 1 - JUNE 30 - 1976

These drawings and watercolors were done over a ten year period and are thoughts - sketches - impressions - sensations and responses to things external as well as internal.

They are a part of the creative process that is like a rambling odyssey. When one picks up pen or pencil, crayon, pastel or watercolor and begin to map out some of the contours of the imagination, little journeys and streams of color come forth to suggest this or that, and one begins to put it in some kind of order, whatever emotional order of the moment that will suffice.

Cities - landscapes - figures and nudes - religion- Spain - lovers - nature - art - music - Jamaica - pawnshops - boxing - tear gas - Africa - Chinatown - eclipse - Tangiers - basketball - Harlem - siesta's - Alabama - card games - Tanzania - bombed churches - riots - Ghana - love - fire - theatre - Barbados - woman - flower studies - blues singers - Acapulco - put them all together and they are one big collage of the imagination. Art out of chaos. Art out of love. It's for you to decide.
