Gentlemen:

Attn: Betty Parsons

In reply to your letter of June 8th concerning damage to a Reinhardt painting while in possession of the American University, the home office of the Fire Association of Philadelphia (the insurance carrier) has advised us have you go ahead with the repairs, which you estimated at $50.00.

When this work has been completed, please forward your bill to us for payment.

We regret the delay in answering your letter but assumed the claim had been forwarded to the New York office and just discovered a couple days ago it had not been settled.

Very truly yours,

E. QUINCY SMITH, INC.
