March 7. 64.

Dear Robert Schoelkopf,

Excuse my lapse if you will about the sending and all the trouble you went to. I appreciate your thoughtfulness but the pang it aroused in the recollection of all my "pharmacies" stripped from [[strikethrough]] my [[/strikethrough]] the shelves probably
sent my thoughts the other way fast.

I'd like to try to work out some little thing with you but must review prior promises, more than I can even remember, I'm afraid: And I have to get into a state more relaxed and forward-looking.

Just about this time of year two years or so ago the wonderful confluence of early spring, Patty Duke live, [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] "Lee-waves in the atmosphere," etcetera. etc. I live for a revival.

With best wishes to you all.
