Dear Joseph Cornell,

It was encouraging to talk with you this morning. I hope that you will be able to send us some of your work. We still have people visiting the gallery, and asking to see your things. It is sad to have nothing to show them.

Elizabeth Oppenheimer has gone into the hospital as I am typing in my own slow-motion fashion. She has to have an operation on her foot, but should be back in a week or two.

I made a sale this A.M. and so remit payment for Circe (Dosso Dossi) which is outstanding. See our accounting of June 24, 1968. This was sold for $900, two-thirds due to you, i.e. $600 (enclosed).

As I told you, we plan to stay in town this summer. We are moving to a smaller apartment, but here on the East Side, indeed, above the gallery. It should be nice, since there is a terrace where the boys can play and Jane can grow things.

Regards,
