Dear Mrs. Ward,

Have some things finally finished and earmarked for you. Have just found out that the local transportion situation is not what it used to be, i.e., taken for granted. They don't like to bother with small loads any more.

There are eight or so items ready (first water and I think of easy appeal) if your offer still holds for that pick-up from Astoria; otherwise I'll get them in sometime soon - it's just a matter of a little more patience, and it's my problem after all.

Sincerely yours,

j.c.
