A Day in Van Hornsville

One of the the pleasantest and jolliest days this summer was spent at Van Hornsville, which is about twelve miles from Richfield Springs.

We were a large party of twenty one and took different carriages, each of which contained six to seven persons, so that it made the different parties very jolly and gay. Van Hornsville is a very small village, and at the foot of it lies a very pretty wood with many small brooks and water falls, here we spent the day!
