We all met at the appointed time and place, and it took quite long before we became all settled and packed in the three large sleighs. The sleighs looked very funny, for you could only see muffled persons in it, and here and there a head peeped out. When they began to talk, I really had to turn my head before I could see who it was.

When we turned into one of the country roads, the little fellows gave three large cheers and I joined with all my might. I was very sorry when the time came to turn around and bring them home, for I could see how they had all enjoyed themselves. For days after, their happy faces hearty cheers and expressions, like "O what a bully time," and "What dandy fun" followed me.
