to see Mr. Shirlaw's pictures and he was quite carried away by them, felt that they ought to be seen in New York and is going to speak to Mr. Montrose about them. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we can arrange a very select and fine exhibition here at the Montrose Gallery and get New York really stirred up about them. Get the art-critics to come and see them before they are hung and get articles out about them. There are several I am crazy about - The Vermont Mountains with the haying - the Sylvan Dance, the Glass Blowers, & the southern ones - I haven't seen the Magnolia Trees which you speak of - I wonder if that is sold -
