We had a wonderful meeting  of the 20th Century Club here with Mary Austin as the speaker - on "The Whole Gospel of Immigration." I have never heard such a wonderful & thrilling address, such a plea for the immigrant & for keeping faith - with the purpose of our fathers in founding this nation. They all were thrilling, tho' they didn't see it her way - but because of the proposed amendments t our immigration law - before Congress - (the literacy test) it was was very timely.
