trying tonight - I as you see am writing - invested in a new skirt which I am at present wearing - 

Lucy is coming Friday - for a few days - Saturday we had a very bad rain storm I ventured out and almost swam down Clinton St. - to an afternoon gathering, I was the only one that came however - and had the choice of three kinds of cake chocolate and ice cream. I felt sorry for the girl who expected more to be present. 

Sunday Mary and I took photos of ourselves and I hope they will look like something, some of mine are quite pretty but do not suit me yet -
