stoped and we had a very pleasant day, did not see much of the races as the river was crowded so with boats, especially the house-boats made it look so charming, they were very pretty and decorated with flowers, we rowed a little bit every other minute we had to push a boat out of our way, it was a very interesting sight to see - We also dined at the Hays one evening and had a lovely time -  We had great luck, with our rooms at Hotel Royal, two front rooms, and the procession of the Emperor & Empress passed on their way from Guild Hall where they dined to Buckingham Palace,and we had a splendid view

I saw the Schlesinger's and they spent a few days no the week we were there at Henley where they had a steam launch and lived in the Hotel during the night. We
went to see them one day (an hour from London) it rained
