We did enjoy the fruit baskets on the steamer and many thanks for sending one. Mamie Seaman sent me one and Papa had them all put in an ice box to my horror so I had mine taken out I really saw no sense in keeping them all to the end so mine came out again the others came out towards the last and were delicious.

We sent Mama's photograph the old one, to a french artist, for him to make a miniature of it, midemoiselle Cappelle went to see about it, and I hope it will be a success, she thinks so; it is a dead secret and so do not mention it to anyone.

We are entertaining the Polly, who seems to have taken a liking to us and he is very entertaining talking and singing all the time.

We are going on a picnic Wednesday with the Konigs, and are going to be a very large party, I believe we will have a lovely time, if we will only have a good day, it is cloudy and warm now.

We took a bath here in the swimming house, it was very pleasant indeed and we hope to do it
