Tonight we four are going to a grand dinner given by Mr. & Mrs. Krone at Meyenberg, it will be quite exciting as I have not seen many strangers of late. Mrs. & Mrs Krone are very lively, we took a drive and walk with them & four [[strikethrough]] sisters [[/strikethrough]] more of the family 2 brothers & sisters, it was very pleasant & on our walk we saw 9 bears, Mr. K- almost struck one with his cane, so you see they were very near - Yesterday driving we saw a number of deer which was very interesting as you can imagine - I am glad you enjoyed your stay in the Ada and did you succeed in visiting Mr. Air as you hoped to do on labor day -- I don't get any letters which is quite drearifying, my friends are very lazy writers (so am I) but they might answer my letters -- -- --

The Westbury was lovely and the country round most charming, I did enjoy our visit there immensely, not only trees but lovely fields were to be seen -- The Schleswig cousins are gone & uncle Ludwig Hotzen's daughter is now here she is seems also very pleasant. We asked Eva to visit us she could not & we could not go there so we wont see each other at all it is too bad- The other day we walked 6 hours, even more perhaps for I don't think we sat down any worth the mentioning - It was a very pleasant day, we drove
