Dear Edward,

I am very much obliged for your gift which although it had a somewhat familiar look I can't place. I have scanned your many wished and hope you may get what you want most. I had a little luncheon party and we were all very lively after my friends left I went to two teas and escorted Adele to [[strikethrough]] a [[/strikethrough]] the fair where she expected to do some selling. I cant realise that xmas is so near and must spur up and get the different things
