had a very delightful time doing nothing and enjoying the air - the University of New York was opened and we went to the exercises they were quite entertaining only one man spoke endlessly long. Sunday we took a nice walk and went to the golf grounds which are very charming.

Had a letter from Mary and Papa they are now I believe in Bremen.

I shall begin my drawing again. Today I called on Mrs Mosle, she was very nice in the mist of house cleaning - also on Mrs Victor who was out - she probably wont find my card for they have a way of never hearing you have been there which is rather trying.

Write to me and tell me what you have been doing.

Your loving sister
