Mrs Peter Vohrees

6 Montague Terrace.

Dear Edward-

Before today fades I must write - we had a most glorious sunset and yesterday a snow storm - but in spite of it we - M. K. Rose H - and I drove over to N.Y. to the Walkure - had a most gay time, Nene was our chaperon - and as [[strikethrough]] our [[strikethrough]] the $1.00 seats were gone she by paying just entrance, got a seat near ours - she enjoyed it very much - this evening all the cristicsms [[criticisms]] were or are read - and we act as if we had never seen or heard an opera before.

The horses are coming and we expect to ride again & I think will be great fun - tomorrow I expect to tramp N.Y. We are not so gay any more at present although Papa & Mama seem to go to dinners still. We heard Tannhauser here in the Academy
