Dear Edward—

Many thanks for your letter got it just before I betook myself to my Sunday school class, who seemed to have [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] had to [[too]] much solemnity the last week and in consequence were most wild——

The Asacog affair ran off splendidly and we had a very good time 

I am going to have Gretta here one afternoon with a few other girls as a farewell to her maidenhood  she is going to marry on the 28th which is near at had [[hand]] - next week we are going to look at the parade and go to horse show.  I managed to take a ride one evening on my wheel with Alfred Baker and it was quite nice  I only got somewhat tired——  Schmidts sold their horse and
