I fully was on the way of sending you a few words when somehow my humour for writing took another turn and therefore was most happy to receive your lines, we are very glad to have the Haworths here now, and I think Lucy a bright little lady, she is very anxious to

practice her golf here and has succeeded in teaching Sport to be a caddy, the dog is improving and has taken a very great fancy to Alice  I am teaching him hide and seek—  Mrs. [[Spies?]] and Mr. Victor enjoyed the country here—  I got them at the station, they were simply killing.  I think they almost expected to see indians and bears as well as tigers jump from corners and bushes.
