Sept. 15, 1897 [Princeton,Mass.] [[stamp]] ARCHIVES OF AMERICAN ART [[/stamp]] Mrs. Peter Vohrees 5-59 Dear Edward, Am here in Princeton visiting Maud and we are having grand clear days- yesterday we walked up the Mt! here saw Monadnuck [[Monadnock]] stand out and Green & White Mt. have had great fun with the pony it only went a little slow - we are going on a carriage parade tomorrow this morning I sketched with a Miss Washburn from her grounds and now we are going to the golf links they are not very large here - Mary and Cara Burch are home alone but next week the house will fill up again. Papa is doing nicely - The Bartletts stayed with us a week -

The Mountain near Princeton is called Wachusett, but that word doesn't look like it could be Wachusett. Maybe Wachusett, misspelled? ANS: It is Mount Monadnock, in NH, visible in distance.
