Dear Edward -

We are glad to hear you have begun your packing and that you hope to come here on the first - I hope you will enjoy your ride etc tomorrow, we have nothing on hand, only to spend day at home. I am going to at last fix my room which still looks if I were going to move all my things [[strikethrough]] ha [[/strikethrough]] are still packed away and am glad when it is put into order. I am shocked to hear how the H's treated you but hope you have not suffered much. K is going to receive to-night and I am going there with Mary for a short time.
