for our dinner.  Today I raced to N.J. to see a fine collection of paintings mostly J. Renolds, etc. of his time (english men) they are to be sold at auction next Monday and Tuesday, alas! I can't go.  Called on Adele whom we greatly offended calling her too old for our affair but nevertheless will appear at our days to make tea.  We have two more and I have asked a number of 

friends in to receive, I hope will have a good time.  I shall however be glad when they are done with.  Mr. Martens called last Sunday and told us all about his visit and you — so we hear of your had tricks——

I try teaching in Sunday School but have a very hard time of it as my girls are more lively than otherwise.  Mr. Bapp enquired after you and he hoped to see you soon
