35 Remsen Street

My dear Dodo,

Yesterday was your birthday to which Ethel & I sent you a cable which I hope reached you in time; our letters, I fear, may have been a little late. I hope you & Theresa had a pleasant & happy time together.

It is now already time to send our Xmas greetings, so here come our best wishes for a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. I hope you will have a jolly time with Tante Meta & the cousins. Give them all our best love & greetings, and do write us all about who was there & what you did.

We are getting a box ready, the contents of which I hope will cause you pleasure & will let you know how sweet we think you.

Yesterday Miss Garrison took dinner with us. She is from Boston & attached to Miss Alice Carpenter who is a very active Bull Mooser. Ethel became very fond of her at Syracuse where they met.

Mary was in for a moment on her way to take supper with some labor man & then speak at a meeting on her way to catch a night train to Buffalo. What a rush! I wish she would not try to do so much. Tonight she continues from Buffalo to Ch'go for the convention of the Bull Moosers to make plans for the future.

As you probably know, Gretchen & R. intend going to Florida on the 17th so will not be with us on Xmas. We hope to have Mary & Kate, tho'.

Kate spent Thanksgiving & some time longer with the Rob. Palmer's at Stonington. I believe she had some work there.
