C/o Hope & Co.,
Amsterdam, Holland.

My Dear Dorothea:-

Vicker Son & Maxim, Ltd., who are now called "Vickers, Ltd" are getting out some new common stock, which in England is called "ordinary" shares. The rights for this new stock have a certain value, and I have cabled Naylor, Benzon & Co., 20 Abchurch Lane, London, Eng., to sell these, and to mail any paper which you would have to sign to you, C/o Hope & Co.; should you therefore get such a paper, you will understand what it is, and after reading it over carefully, sign it, and send it back to them, if it is correct.

You hold 3464 ordinary shares, and the rights are worth in the neighborhood of one shilling - about 25ยข, each.

As I have not heard from you in regard to the subscription to the Am. T. & T. Co bonds, I have thought best to sell them as the market was going down. I have also sold the subscription to the St. Paul bonds, and will send you a statement and check for same sometime next week.

I hope you will have had a Happy Easter when this reaches you. We are going to have an egg hunt for the smaller children like Dorothea & John.

With Love

Your bro.,

Edw.
