Amsterdam, Holland

My Dear Dorothea:-

Your letter of March 8th from Florence reached me Saturday morning.

As I wrote you in my previous letter, I sold your subscription to the American T. & T. Company's bonds, having understood from H. T. Carey & Co. that the certificates were in [[strikethrough]] an [[/strikethrough]] a negotiable shape, but to-day I find that there was a misunderstanding, and they will need your signature. I therefore enclose the three powers for the $2400.00, which please sign and return to me at once, as they sold the bonds, and now need your signature in order to make the delivery.

Hope you had a pleasant Easter. Mary is getting on well & is in Camden in Mrs. Long's home now it seems.

Your bro.,

Edw.
