45 WALL STREET, NEW YORK

Dear Dodo,
Encl'd is a letter from Tante Meta which arrived this morning & I thought you might like to see. After you & Mary have read it, please return it to me.

This afternoon Kate called up from whom I was glad to hear that you were so well & were considered the prize patient in the town. This is splendid and I hope you will continue so.

Yeaterday Ethel & I went to Fanwood to see Bessie & Tom. Geo & Nettie are living with them this winter, as Dana being in boarding school it seemed foolish these times to keep their large home in Westfield open. They have a very attractive place & we spent a happy time together. How fortunate it really is that your sisters have your large house rented. Fanwood is practically the country, there being only a few roads, one can't call them streets, on which are houses, whereas Westfield is really a town. We saw where Mary Quinn's sister lives, but did not go there.

Our new dog is getting on very well, but he is somewhat like a baby. In the early morning after being alone all night, he starts whining & barking until he is told to keep quiet, but in the meantime he has wakened us.

This is Ethel's busy week as the have to raise their $12,000
