The appreciation shown by the public to the expression of black culture in the art forms of music song and dance at Afc folk dancing is phenomenal. A pleasurable experience for all of us here I am tempted to ask everyone to steal a few minutes at the Caribbean tent [[strikethrough]] It fel [[/strikethrough]] I feel selfish when I say it is the only true tent. I feel so good I want to describe the term tent in Trinidad terms - first yesterday and 2ndly today.

Yesterday - A tent was a shaded structure [[strikethrough]] with [[/strikethrough]] made of poles or posts 10 lo 12ft long standing 2 feet to fit in the ground and joined above by other poles or stick nailed or tied together so as it suport a coverin of tarpolin galvanize or palm leaves to provide shade from sun or rain. These tents were made by workers in the field, slaves and later freemen, and used as a place to sit, talk, rest, eat lunch, plan the rest of the day work or the nights recreation, sing, practice songs for church, festivals.
