Burlingame June 11th 1966

Dear Son,

Oh it seemed good to hear your voice, but I know you must feel peculiar, after hearing about your former girlfriend being married but as daddy always said every thing for the best, and now its your turn to look for a girl, and know Fred you are going to find her, you have plenty of time, don't you know. How things happen. First I felt bad, but the more I think of it the better I feel and you be sensible, start right in looking, lots of girls are looking too, don't you know! Susie took me out for a lovely ride to Palo Alto, the weather is perfect little windy but thats OK. Oh Fred how I wish you lived closer so we could see each other.
