At the present time, I am unable to replenish the materials needed to continue painting. While things have been very difficult the last few years, I was able to keep minimally solvent. The cutbacks recently in the school, however, seem to have caused many retired teachers and aspiring teachers to substitute and therefore there have been a huge drop in jobs.

Except for a three day drawing workshop this summer and another in February of 1998, I have not had any teaching jobs at an appropiate level and have been forced to curtail drastically both medical and art expenses. While I am trying to maintain my equilibrium in order to function creatively and personally, I cannot avoid the reality of circumstances worsening. Any consideration you can afford me will be much appreciated.
