This year was another internationally diverse year for the gallery: Showing "Transculturality; in Wool, Wood, and Words" by Moroccan born painter, Hamid Kachmar who states, "At work, I glue, dye, rub, tie, paint, weave, carve, stitch, and scratch" to create my works; Togolese painter, Papisco Kudzi whose collage, heterogeneous colors- painting old scrap and rubbish reveal his inner desert world; and also showing this year was Senegalese painter, Rackie Diankha Diallo, who works in textiles and images based on the representation of weaving.

2008 - For Black History Month there was an exhibition of eleven photographers entitled "Emotions". Included were artists - Irene Abdou, Llewellyn Berry, Carmen DeJesus, Phoebe Farris, Henry Ferrand, Sonny Mason, Bruce McNeil, Askia Muhammad, Curtis Nelson, Oggi Ogburn, and Fernando Sandoval. The Faculty of the Howard University Department of Art presented "Visions and Voices". Artists included: Starmanda Bullock, Floyd Coleman, Colette Veasey-Cullors, Terry de-Bardelaben, Ryamond G. Dobard, Raven Featherstone, Hamid Kachmar, W. R. Owens-Hart, James Phillips, Michael Platt, Reginald Pointer, Alfred J. Smith, and Elka M. Stevens. Showing next was Sharon Geraci a mixed media artist, presenting her show entitled "Exploration in Cultural Phenomena" with abstract collage pieces; then Stephen Bates brought us "New Collages & Constructions" using watercolor, collage and occasionally producing sculptural effects. For the summer of '08 "Herbert Gentry and Friends" was presented showing many of Gentry's numerous friends which illuminated his movement through the world; included were Hamed Abdalla, Skunder Boghossian, Romare Bearden, Nanette Carter, Ed Clark, Beauford Delaney, Robin Holder, Bill Hutson, Lois Mailou Jones, Wifredo Lam, Richard Mayhew, Sam Middleton, Toni Parks, Vincente Pimentel, Larry Potter, Rachelle Puryear, Mary Ann Rose, Merton Simpson, Vincent D. Smith, and Walter Williams. In the fall of '08 we featured two women sculptors, Perci Chester and Barbara Delaney whose works, in wood, metal, ceramics and found objects, complimented each other; and to end this great year abstract painter, Antonio CarreƱo whose work reflects the legacy of surrealism in Latin American art which is redefined in the energetic lines and vibrant concepts of his pieces.

Internationally this year - from Greece came Catherine Zakas with her artwork which is sometimes figurative, sometimes abstract, acrylic and oil on canvas; artist/musician, Tayo Adenaike from Nigeria showing his watercolors that are vivid, thought provoking images entitled "Glimpses of What is and What is Not"; and Senegalese painter, Abdoulaye Ndoye whose works are spiritual, layered, elegant and multi-faceted.

2009 - An exhibition entitled "From Slavery to Freedom: A Tribute to Obama" was presented by two Chicago-based artists - painter, Joyce Owens and photojournalist, Robert Sengstacke; a photographic exhibition by Bruce McNeil entitled "Between Latitudes" was a combination of traditional photography and abstract impressionism - works with exceptional detail and quality; "Masters for the First Family: Parish Gallery" was an exceptional exhibition of 17 master painters including: Benny Andrews, Edward Bannister, Camille Billops, Elizabeth Catlett, Edward Clark, Herbert Gentry, Sam Gilliam, Richard Hunt, Martha Jackson-Jarvis, Lois Mailou Jones, Norman Lewis, Richard Mayhew, Evangeline J. Montgomery, Joe Overstreet, and James Porter; giving graphite a painterly feeling was a show entitled "Painting with Pencil" brought to us by pencil artist, Kenneth Pasley; moving on we were pleased to have Hamid Kachmar, a Moroccan born painter with an exhibit entitled "Intricacies" whose materials
