Mr. Palmer C. Hayden,
11 rue Rousselet,
Paris VIIme
France.

Dear Mr. Hayden:

Thank you for your letter of October 10th from Paris. Mrs. Sharkey is no longer with the Treasury Relief Art Project but is now Executive Secretary at the Whitney Museum of Modern Art, where the T.R.A.P. is at present holding a show. Too bad you are not here to see it, but on November 15th we are holding another Show at the Corcoran Gallery in Washington for one month and I hope you will then be back to see it.

Mr. William Owen, formerly with the Federal Art Project for New York State (who has been sharing our office for the past year), is now taking Mrs. Sharkey's place. Perhaps you know him?

It has come to our attention that there might be some wall decorations done under the FHA at Atlantic City in a project especially designed for the housing of colored people, and the leaders of the community have asked for colored artists. If you are not away too long, it would seem to be a good opportunity for you when you return.

We hope your trip will be a pleasant one, and full of inspiration.

Yours very truly,
