TO THE ARTISTS OF THE FEDERAL ART PROJECT:

As you probably know, an exhibition of paintings by the Illinois artists of the Federal Art Project opens tomorrow at the Federal Art Gallery at 225 West 57th Street. The Exhibition Department advises us that the exhibition is an outstanding one.

As we know that you will be particularly interested to know what is being accomplished by the Project artists in Chicago and the surrounding territory, we trust that you will be able to attend the opening of the exhibition.

In connection with the opening there will be addresses by Mr. Holger Cahill, National Director of the Federal Art Project, Miss Florence Arquin, Supervisor, Easel Painting and Gallery Project, Chicago Federal Projects, Mr. Henry G. Alsberg, National Director, Federal Writers Projects, Mr. Chalmers Clifton, Director, New York City Federal Music Project, Mr. George Kondolf, Director, New York City Federal Theatre Project, and Mrs. Audrey McMahon, Regional Director, Federal Art Project.

The program commences at 4:30 P.M.

We trust that you will be able to attend the program and cooperate with us in making the opening a distinct success.

Yours very sincerely,
