TO ALL EASEL PAINTERS ON THE FEDERAL ART PROJECT

The second Technical Meeting of the Easel Division will be held Friday, May 20th,at 11 a.m. at the Harlem Community Art Center, (third floor) 290 Lenox Avenue (corner 125th Street).

It has been arranged with the Timekeeping Division for you to turn in your Time Card and sign the Physical Check at this meeting, instead of at the 42nd Street Office.

As this meeting is on Project time your attendance is obligatory, failure to attend will be considered absence from work. As you are on self-supervised time please arrange your painting schedule so as to include the time you spend at this meeting. This can be a matter for you to arrange with yourself and need not cause any re-arrangement of the usual schedule shown on your time card.

The Program will be a discussion on Pigments by Raphael Doktor, Head of the Projects Technical Division. Miss Gwendolyn Bennett, Acting Director of the Harlem Community Art Center and Mr. Stevens Maxey, Executive Secretary of the Federal Arts Committee will also speak.

It will be of interest to all artists on the Easel Division to become acquainted with the work of the Art Teaching Division and we are very happy to have the opportunity of holding this meeting at the Harlem Center. It will enable you to see at first-hand the valuable contribution the Project is making to New York Communities through the Art Teaching Division.

Very truly yours,
