SUBJECT: RESCHEDULING FOR ABSENCE

In order that Security Wage workers may have periods of absence from projects for the purpose of obtaining employment in private industry, rescheduling of hours will be permitted in accordance with the following provisions:

1) Rescheduling which provides for such absence shall be permitted only in the 8th, 9th and 10th fiscal periods of 1938 (July 10 to August 6; August 7 to September 3; September 4 to October 1.). Rescheduling for absence will be effective within a single fiscal period and individual workers may not be permitted absence in excess of two calendar weeks. Rescheduling to provide periods of absence will be permitted only once in the year 1938 for any individual worker.

2) Rescheduling to provide periods of absence will be permitted only at a time consistent with the efficient conduct of project operation. Workers will make application to supervisors for permission to be absent from the project sufficiently in advance to enable proper rescheduling without interruption of project business.
