Dear Friends:

Just a few days before Dr.Haynes left last week for Africa he mentioned to me that a visit to the Haydens is one item that regretfully would have to be deferred until his return. I recall his mentioning you both also during the Christmas holidays. I am quite sure, therefore, that he regrets not being in the country to accept your kind invitation to your opening reception next Monday.

I am putting your leaflet with his mail, and while we are not sending anything to him for several months I know that he will be happy to renew ties with you upon his return in the fall.

With kind greetings, I remain

Your sincerely,
Olvye L. Jeter
