Said "haw" cakes and there's a tree in the gardens loaded with red "haw thorn" berries. I picked a few, and ate them & they're sweet & delicious. So I'll pick more tomorrow.

* When we got our mail the day we arrived - were there several pkges of slides, and did you take 2 with you to Maine? I'm still trying to find out how many films are still to come or whether we've got them all. How many do you have in Maine & what are the numbers?

The wooden monkey pod bowl arrived yesterday - via Luizers. No other pkg. yet. Bowl is in perfect condition and huge in our living room. Where o where shall I put it? 

Did our pear trees bear and how are Alice Stoddarts' [[strikethrough]] strawber [[/strikethrough]] raspberry vines? Are they still alive & bearing?

The seaweed from Point Lobo is delicious, a crispy kelp.  

Larry G. called to-day. Says you are thinking of building a house in Hawaii. I wonder if he's wondering about the future!! Next year?  G.
