Hi!
What treasures! The pkg arrived on Friday 7 p.m. Mo. Swizer had it - I unpacked immediately - and found all intact. except for one tomato that had gotten crushed by the stem of the zuke that was sticking out of the milk carton. It had gotten surrounding tomatoes wet, but not permanently damaged. There were 53 tomatoes - I figure if each small zuke is worth 3 tomatoes & the large one, 6, then each tomato costs 7 1/2¢. In terms of taste, there is no comparison with bought ones. Had my favorite breakfast - toasted tomato sandwich. Have bought no vegetables since I came back, except a bunch of watercress, 2 cukes, & 2 peppers. But have gone overboard on fruit - plums, that I cooked & froze, peaches, and melons. I’ve gone through one large honeydew, one large cranshaw, and have an even larger cranshaw and a cassaba ripening. The apt. is redolent with the fragrance of ripening melon. How are the pears? & Gussow tomatoes?

Add the M.G. rent bill to the check stub - I just paid the Oct. maintenance - 189.33

I have Monday, Oct. 13, off - Columbus Day. We never used to have it but now we do. And I've decided, rather than sitting at home in the apt. for 3 days and talking to myself, I'll go to Toronto. It coincides with Canadian Thanksgiving, and Sue, George & Cindy will be there for the weekend. I'll leave Friday p.m (taking the afternoon off) and coming back Monday evening. Every flight
