The two most interesting things to us, were the Elgin Marbles the finiest collection of Greek sculpture in existince and the Rossetti Stone  presented to the museum by King Georg the third of England and is the key to the Egyptian hyoglyphics [[hieroglyphics]]. The most wonderful stone in the world.

Monday at noon we took the train to Plymouth. The train passed through Bristol and Exeter. At Exeter we were able to see the Cathedral from the car. Then we caught a glimpse of the mors at Dartmoor just after leaving Exeter. At Plymouth we took a bus to the Grand Hotel which is on the cliffs overlooking the beautiful fort. The fort is one of the largest and most important of England and has a navy yard and royal. barracks. On the cliffs there is a memorial monument to Sir Francis Drake, who first sighted the Spanish Amarda off the coast.
