Dorando had died. It made us feel very sad, but the next morning we found it was only a rumor.

July 25, 1908.

Saturday we took dinner at Gianellie and went to see Pinafore, a delightful comic opera and enjoyed the pretty music. 

July 26, 1908.

Sunday morning we went to St. Paul's which is considered the church of London. Although St. Paul's is smaller than Westminster it gave me more the feeling of spaciousness. I was disappointed in the choir which I had heard so much about and the service seemed cold and far away. People are continually moving around sight seeing and even crowd past you when you are praying. 

We did not feel like going back to the boarding house for lunch, so we went to Gianellie and found that it was closed on Sundays. Then we walked to the Vienna Bakery which we had often thought looked like a nice place. It did not come up to our expectation, but we had a fair lunch.

Later, in the afternoon we went down to Mr.
