Morak is noted for seven waterfalls called the Seven Sisters which tumble down one of the mountains into the Fjord. The water in the falls of Norway look more like some thin gauze or mist. On the face of the opposite cliff the rock is formed like a pulpit. The boat passed between the two cliffs in coming up the Fjord.

That evening a dynamite rocket was sent off the ship to show how long the echo reverberated among the hills.

August 24, 1908.

Two falls run down the hills in the back of the valley meeting in a graceful torrent, winding among the rocks at the bottom and then forming a stream that empties into the Fjord. The torrent is beautiful and we are spending the morning by it. It is a lovely morning and the sky is a wonderful blue, with fleecy clouds sailing through it. Early this morning one or two laid gently below the mountain peaks, but are now slowly rising.
