A little trip to Washington

When we woke up Monday, in Washington, it was raining, but we had come to have a good time and did not care.

After a cosey breakfast we started off with a friend and umbrellas to the Public Library. One of the interesting facts is that the mural paintings are the first representative work of the American Decorators.

Later the rain stopped and the weather looked promising.

As the sun began gradually to sink among golden clouds we walked up the leafless avenue of trees and climbed the broard white steps to the Capital. Just before entering the building we lingered to look at the clearing view before us with the huge red ball in the background.
