probably won't hear from you for about ten days; if it takes five days each way however I will wait patiently until word does come and then I will feel fully repaid.

I am going out to the lake on Friday to spend part of the afternoon and evening (if I am still in Newburgh), but think of the change I will almost expect you to come running down stairs to meet me or will think perhaps you are over in the other house and all the time you will be thousands of miles away in fact you will be in Texas by that time.

I said that I would not hear from you for ten days but father just came in with your postal card and you can imagine how glad I was to get. I tried to find out where it was from but the Post mark is blurred. How does it seem travelling all alone and by the way did any old men come up and speak to you.
