in Brooklyn when in came and the cold wind off New York bay was something terrible I think it is the coldest place in the world

I went to the theatre the other night to see a play called Ceasar and Cleopatra and it was very good. It makes Ceasar out a very kind and good man about fifty-five years old and Cleopatra sixteen years of age and some of the things that happen between them are very funny. It's the first play I've seen in a long time.

I am going to have my exhibition in New York the last two weeks in February and so I will go down to Texas before that time and maybe I won't be glad to see you. I can't tell you how much. I hope to make this exhibition the best I have given and so am working very hard. A woman from the New York Times came into interview me yesterday and I boomed the Hudson River for all I was worth. I thought I might as well while I was at it. She asked me what were the names of the mountains in the highlands and I couldn't remember half of them; wasn't that ridiculous.

How you must enjoy the horse-back riding down in Texas. I hope I can have some of it when I get down there. I do enjoy it so but I would not like to try one of those bucking bronchos I have heard about because I shouldn't think they would be much fun.
