Darling Girl

It is Saturday morning and I feel kind of blue and sleepy. I think the life in New York is very hard it keeps you up so late at night. Last night I went to the Opera to see Romeo & Juliet. It was a beautiful performance and I enjoyed it immensely. I have been hearing some fine music lately and it always does me a lot of good. It sets my imagination to work as nothing else will.

I keep wondering and thinking

it is a great disappointment to me as I expected to see you much sooner. It just makes my heart ache. Going away as you did makes me realize much I love you and I miss you terribly. The next letter you write me please please tell me that you love me and then I'll feel all right again. Now I am a little in the dumps

I miss you all the time

With all my love
Gifford.
