We are having the most terrible weather. Very cold and damp and raining. The kind I hate the most. But it is typical New York weather.

I read in the Newburgh News last night that the Christmas dance at the ? will be quite an affair anyway things  seem to be picking up there in the way of entertainment since the new board of directors have gotten into office. I think next years will be much better than last

Dearest Girl

I have been thinking so hard about you the last few days and wishing to see you so much. You seem so awfully far away that it is just as if you were on the other side of the world and if it wasn't for your letter I wouldn't know what to do. You have no idea how much they brace me up. I always work twice as hard after I get one 

I suppose you have been working hard making and buying Christmas. That is what
