I think I will go up to the club this afternoon and see if I can get some exercise by bowling. Yesterday I called Maltby up to see if he wanted to go up and bowl but he said he had a bad cold and a swollen face. How funny he must look with his mustache and all. I sympathized with him as much as I could over the phone. I believe they have music at the club this afternoon. I wish that when I went in this afternoon I would see you there. How happy it would make me.

While out at the lake your mother and I have had such nice long talks. She is simply fine to talk to and I enjoy it. We talked about everything and everybody but mostly about you I think.

You know I told you what a beautiful snow storm we were having well it has turned warm again and is raining making the most distressing day you ever saw. A day for the blues and I think I’ve got them.

Goodbye sweetheart.

I love you so

Gifford
